Down to the Bones

Nancy Lankston

New moon in airy visionary Aquarius. Big changes are coming, that much is certain.
What do you need in order to embrace change? Healing or clearing work? A daily visioning or mindfulness practice? A new self-care routine? A safe place to express your fears and desires?
Ask your heart. Your heart knows.
Look for a heart filled path forward. Then step out.
❤️

Full moon in watery Cancer, the nurturing mama sign. The high emotions of a Cancer moon are compounded by a lunar eclipse. Meanwhile, Pluto is busy blowing up Saturn’s old, out-dated rules and structures right and left.
Things are getting REAL Who knows what will happen next? Stop trying to figure it all out – nothing makes logical sense right now. If you’re feeling stirred up, anxious or really vulnerable, you are not alone! The craziness is getting difficult to ignore.
Make self-care a priority. Do something nurturing and loving for yourself every single day. And if you cannot figure out how to relax and calm down on your own, please find a healer or therapist who can help. You are important – we need you healthy and happy. 💗

“here is the month i decided to shed everything not deeply committed to my dreams. the day i refused to be a victim to the self-pity. here is the week i slept in the garden. the spring i wrung the self-doubt by its neck. hung your kindness up. took down the calendar. the week i danced so hard my heart learned to float above water again. the summer i unscrewed all the mirrors from their walls. no longer needed to see myself to feel seen. combed the weight out of my hair.
i fold the good days up and place them in my back pocket for safekeeping. draw the match. cremate the unnecessary. the light of the fire warms my toes. i pour myself a glass of warm water to cleanse myself for january. here I go. stronger and wiser into the new.”

“I’ll tell you right now,
the doors to the world of the wild Self are few but precious.
If you have a deep scar, that is a door,
if you have an old, old story, that is a door.
If you love the sky and the water so much
you almost cannot bear it, that is a door.
If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life,
a sane life, that is a door.”
~Clarissa Pinkola Estes

River in flood carries me to a new mountain.
Mountain holds me and whispers,
Bringer of the fairy light
Learn to hold the valley… learn to hold.
I rest in the lap of Isis
Sacred mother of all
Tears flow and heal.
Blood river of my ancestors
Washes over me, through me
Dark Goddess smiles.
Just dance your dance.
Just dance your dance.
I am drumming my sister awake
Blooming hills surround
Bee priestesses dance
And Her honey flows.

Today
I gave up
On healing my trauma
I gave up
On practicing the skills
To become whole
Today I gave up
On evolving
Into that ever elusive
Better version of myself
Today I submitted
To the wound of love
I stopped pointing at it
Looking at it
Soothing it
Tweaking it
Fixing it
Finessing it
Hiding it
Polishing it
I stopped this game of separation
I crawled inside the wound
And spread it open
I decided to wear it like a gown
I accepted my total and utter
Failure
To be anything else
But me
