Hold to the Truth

Can you stand at the edge of fear and hold to the truth of who you are?
No matter how big the abyss of fear feels,
it is nothing in comparison to your truth.

When you truly know yourself,  fear is merely a tool
that the Universe uses to get you to pay attention.

Stand strong.

Becoming the Song of Me

Turtle Shell

“When we open the doorway to our awareness,

peel back the veil on our illusions,

there’s no going back and it’s nearly impossible to ignore.

I continue to ask myself:

what is the song of my heart’s deepest longing?

Each time I wake from a dream I gain a word,

a note, another phrase of that song.

And slowly, I am assembling.

Bringing the fragments of myself back together again.

Assembling the pieces of a song that is longing to be sung.

A life that is longing to become.”

A Prayer for Today

Dancing Flame

…When the light switch turns let me feel

how my small life leaps into being in the One Life,

the way a flame becomes itself in the fire.

My life has known how to do this

from the start. It wants to do it.

Help me live what is already true

Help me to know it.

We Have Forgotten

Woman-seated-by-Modigliani

“we have forgotten that we were born
of celestial cataclysm.

we have forgotten how to dance
bare-footed on the earth to the cadence
of our souls. we have forgotten the ritual
fires and the acrid tang of holy smoke
on our tongues.”

~Beth Morey

It’s time, sacred woman,
It’s time to share the song of your Soul.

We are the Body of the Goddess

Roar, sacred woman... Roar!
Roar Sacred Woman

“Women’s stories are as powerful, inspiring, and terrifying as the goddess herself.
And in fact, these are the stories of the goddess.
As women, we know her because we are she.
Each woman, no matter how powerless she might feel,
is a cell within her vast form, an embodiment of her essence,
and each woman’s story is a chapter in the
biography of the sacred feminine.”

Love Can Help Me Know My Name

Open Up to Love
Open Up to Love

Today in the car, this song came on  and I got the chills – literally! Apparently, it was precisely what I needed to hear.  Which song? It was Love’s Divine by Seal, who is one of my favorite mystic songwriters:

Then the rainstorm came, over me
And I felt my spirit break
I had lost all of my, belief you see
And realized my mistake
But time threw a prayer, to me
And all around me became still

I need love, love’s divine
Please forgive me now I see that I’ve been blind
Give me love, love is what I need to help me know my name

Through the rainstorm came sanctuary
And I felt my spirit fly
I had found all of my reality
I realize what it takes

‘Cause I need love, love’s divine
Please forgive me now I see that I’ve been blind
Give me love, love is what I need to help me know my name

Oh I, don’t bend (don’t bend), don’t break (don’t break)
Show me how to live and promise me you won’t forsake
‘Cause love can help me know my name

Well I try to say there’s nothing wrong
But inside I felt me lying all along
But the message here was plain to see
Believe me

‘Cause I need love, love’s divine
Please forgive me now I see that I’ve been blind
Give me love, love is what I need to help me know my name

Oh I, don’t bend (don’t bend), don’t break (don’t break)
Show me how to live and promise me you won’t forsake
‘Cause love can help me know my name

Love can help me know my name.
