Eclipses are said to amplify our thoughts and intentions a hundredfold or more. Both positive and negative thoughts are amplified. So, why not harness that power?

Take time to think about what you REALLY want.
What do you want to amplify in your life?
What do you want more of?
What nurtures you?
What do you need to grow and bloom?

Focus on what feeds your body-mind and spirit. What will it look like, taste like, feel like when you get what you desire?

Transformative New Moon

New moon, Venus, Mercury, Chiron, Eris and our Sun are all hanging out in Aries, the sign of the fiery spiritual warrior. Whew! This new moon time is positively pulsating with the energy of change and transformation.

What do you wish to transform?
What is yearning to be born from you?
What needs to drop away?
How can you love yourself and your world even more?

Hold these questions lightly for a few days, and see what arises. There are no perfect answers. Allow your intuition to burn through the BS and uncover what’s true for you now.

Dreamy New Moon

New moon in dreamy, watery Pisces. Venus and Neptune (ruler of water and dreams) are hanging out nearby.

Expect your feelings to run wide and deep. Give yourself space to feel whatever bubbles up. Simply breathe and acknowledge the feelings that surface. No need to judge or fix them; just allow them to express and they will pass through you like a spring storm.

A Pisces new moon is also the perfect time to try conscious dreaming. Before going to sleep, set an intention to remember a dream or two. Ask for dreams of guidance and insight regarding your next steps and what the future holds for you. Or ask for help with a problem you’re experiencing.

Put paper and pen near your bed so you can jot down any images, phrases, or insights that come to you in your dreams. You will be amazed at the wisdom your dreams have to offer.

New Moon in Sagittarius

New moon in fiery Sagittarius, the truth seeker. A total solar eclipse (visible in South America) also occurs today.

This is a traditional time to perform ritual in honor of earth and sky. Light a candle, say a prayer, make an offering to Mama Earth, the sacred planet that is our beautiful home. Honor the plants and animals that have fed and nourished you all year. Thank the water and soil and sun.

Ritual doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be as simple as sitting and listening to the potent dark of a long winter night.

Sit.
Listen to the dark.

Ponder the ideas and plans you want to pursue in the year ahead. Every seed that will grow in the new year is already waiting in the dark. Begin to nourish them now.
