Date Change — Earth Tending Event

In the past, many indigenous people had relationships with the waters near them; simple yet profound ways of connecting, honoring and cleansing. And we can do the same today.

With Spirit’s help, let’s connect with the waters close to home and ask how we can work with them and help them to flourish.

Think Globally. Act Locally

This is a free Shamanism Without Borders event. Shamanism Without Borders (SWB)  is a global response network of shamanic practitioners who tend to events around the world. In doing so, we seek to alleviate suffering, to restore balance and harmony worldwide.

SWB invites anyone who would like to lend their care and support to join these tendings.

Our Living Mother

Carla Golembe

“My political activism always grew out of my spiritual
understandings of the Earth as the living Mother
because the Goddess is injured wherever there is
injustice, wanton cruelty, poverty and pollution.”

On A Clear Day

The way the field
holds the shadow of the cottonwood,
this is how life holds me.

Holds me, no matter my shape.
Holds me with no effort.
Holds my darkness and knows it

as weightless, as transient,
as something that will shift,
disappear, return, and shift again.

It never says no to me.
I am still learning to trust life, to trust
no matter how I show up, I will be held.

Trust that my life is not a problem.
Trust that as much as I am the shadow,
I am also the field.
