Fierce Feminine

“i found god in myself
and i loved her
i loved her fiercely”
~Ntozake Shange

“The dakini is a messenger of emptiness and also appears in dreams to guide the meditator, and she might appear in real life as a woman with certain wisdom qualities. The dakini is a force of truth: wherever we cling, she cuts; whatever we think we can hide, she reveals.” ~Sapchu Rinpoche

“Another important aspect of the dakini’s feminine energy is how they cut through notions of pure and impure, clean and unclean, what you should do and shouldn’t do. They break open the shell of those conventional structures into an embrace of life in which all experience is seen as sacred.” ~Lama Tsultrim Allione

La Loba

‘La Loba, the old one, The One Who Knows, is within us.
She thrives in the deepest soul-psyche of women,
the ancient and vital Wild Woman. The La Loba story
describes her home as that place in time where
the spirit of women and the spirit of wolf meet
– the place where her mind and her instincts mingle,
where a woman’s deep life funds her mundane life.
It is the point where the I and the Thou kiss,
the place where women run with the wolves.’

The World Stops

god is a mother
and with that
sentence
the world stops
the world always stops
when woman and
divine
commingle
as if the
feminine
dilutes the
miraculous
when in reality
it embodies it
when jesus turns water
to wine
they clap
but when women turn breasts
to milk
they cringe
a broken man’s body
is celebrated each sunday
while a broken woman’s body
is just hidden away
and it’s no wonder
that mother is a word
used by men
to demonize those
who don’t claim the name
and weaponized to shame
those who step out of line
because
their ideal
woman
plays the role of
nurturer and silencer
in pews
built and led by them
but
when god
becomes mother
she is neither quiet
or compliant
she leads confidently
she questions authority
she commands respect
which might be the problem
for mother god
did not gather us up
carelessly
but took her time with it
she fed us milk
birthed our souls
and broke her body
and the permanence
can be uncomfortable
and to disentangle god
from motherhood
Is impossible
but
to disentangle god
from womanhood
is sinful
because seeing god as mother
is one step closer
to seeing god in me
and it’s in that
i am truly
born again

Expansive Aquarian Moon

Pink Moon Over Water by Georgia O’Keeffe

Full moon in airy, expansive Aquarius.

What is calling to you now?

Look for signs, symbols and synchronicities. They are there to guide you towards a more expanded view of your world and your future.

Stop, look and listen closely. Wildness is calling.

Your guidance lies in moonlight. It reaches you with every raindrop. A gentle wind whispers deep wisdom.

Heed the call. The Universe is conspiring to help you.

Let Your Voice Be Heard

“Your ancestors sent you here to change things, to disrupt things, to bring forward another way, another vision, a new light, a new way. You’ve been given an incredible opportunity.

Let your voice be heard, let your wisdom be known. Become aware of your gift, whatever it is. Let it be said that you knew your assignment. Let it be said that you completed your assignment, and that you lived boldly and without regret.”
